In 2004 the major building work on the inside of the church was complete thanks to the generous support of members and friends of the church, together with grants from the District, other Unitarian Congregations and a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
A recent survey has indicated that we now need to spend up to £40,000 to repair our church roof.
We have risen to the new challenge and there have already been many events organised by members and friends: sponsored walks, our Spring Fayre, organ recital, lunchtime concerts, Winter Fair and talks.
Thanks to the generosity of our members, friends and the wider Unitarian community in giving both money and time we have currently raised over £18,000 towards our target. Thank you to all those who are supporting this vital work on our lovely historic building.
We have appointed Focus Chartered Surveyors as project manager to co-ordinate the project. The repairs to our roof are now complete. Thank you for your fundraising efforts and donations to our Building Appeal. It is thanks to your fundraising efforts and donations that we feel confident we have enough funds in place to go
ahead with this work.
Currently there is a series of Friday Lunchtime Concerts. An excellent reason to come to Brighton on a Friday!
Recently published, is a new book from Brighton Unitarian Church titled Unitarians Talking.
Please do consider making a donation. Contact us if there is any way you can help with our fund-raising. A recent gift has reminded us of the importance of legacies.
