Portico Repair Project (PRP)
Our church is a special place in many ways.
The iconic columns and steps at the front of our building need serious repairs. We are planning a lively programme of fundraising events, and are applying to the Heritage Lottery Fund and other grant-giving bodies to help us raise this amount.
The Portico Repair Project (PRP) group have put together a detailed programme, focused on the heritage of our building, to support our application for a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). It is a two-round application; the first round was submitted in the February 2016 and HLF awarded us a grant to help fund the specialist investigations needed before the repair and conservation work on the Portico can be carried out. The second round application was submitted in July 2017. We hope that construction work can start in March 2018, with an anticipated 28 week duration. Our fingers are crossed!
