Baby's Foot Held

Children and Families

Here at Brighton Unitarian Church, we believe in the importance of rituals for different stages of your life.

Today, families come in many shapes and sizes, and traditional celebrations may not fit. You may have no current faith or have lost your connection to religion. Yet may still want to honour the birth of a baby, an adoption, or the coming together of a family, but you don’t know how!

Here at Brighton Unitarian Church, we are experienced in meeting the needs of modern families and together with one of our celebrants, we will work with you to create a meaningful, precious ceremony.

If you would like to talk with us about your wishes for a ceremony for your family, within an inclusive community, please do get in touch by contacting our minister, Rev Jennifer Sanders, jennifersanders@brightonunitarian.org.uk

Celebrating Birth

Traditional baptism may not suit you as parents, yet you would like to honour the birth of your baby.

At Brighton Unitarian Church, we focus on helping you create a unique naming ceremony so that you can share this special time with family and friends.

Birthday Celebration

Family Events

There are many life events within a family that you may wish to mark with a ceremony.

This may be a service to mark adoption, a celebration of the blending of families, or a coming-of-age.

We are happy to discuss marking these moments in your family's lives that are important
