Brighton Unitarian Church: What's On in May 2026 

 

Brighton Unitarian Church is hosting an eclectic mix of events during the merry month of May in collaboration with the Brighton Fringe, Brighton Festival, The Great Escape festival for new music and the city's Artists Open Houses festival.

 

From musical theatre to cultural showcases, a week-long affordable art fair to piano recitals for babies, we will have music to suit every taste (including our own fundraising Friday lunchtime concerts - see separate listing:

You’ll be amazed at the treasure trove of music, events and experiences you can enjoy

within the reverberant walls of our beautiful Grade II listed building.

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) “At the heart of democracy”

IDAHOBIT is observed annually on 17 May and is recognised worldwide as a moment of solidarity for LGBTQ+ communities. The date marks the anniversary of the World Health Organisation’s decision in 1990 to remove homosexuality from its list of mental health disorders.
